So I'm here trying to think of reasons to stay with chrome but I think I just might stay with edge, and after being a strong advocate for chrome for years and years, I can't help but think. It operates exactly as chrome does, I'm not missing anything and the only differences I can see right now are the vastly superior netflix integration and that it uses nearly half as much RAM as Chrome does according to my very limited sample testing. Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome are both made from the open-source Chromium browser. To the point where I have to constantly look at the symbol on the task bar to even know which browser I'm using everything looked EXACTLY like I left it in google Chrome. I know they use Chromium as their core now, but I was quite surprised to see that everything, and I mean EVERYTHING carried over perfectly from Chrome, Passwords,Extensions,Settings. So after installing and letting it synch with my settings from chrome, I rubbed my eyes said Though since Edge supports 4K HDR on Netflix and Chrome only an abysmal 720p without HDR, I said to myself, what the heck, I might use it instead of the horrible Netflix app on Win10. Here's also a good article that can provide you info about additional features you. And unlike Google Chrome, there's no personalized themes yet in Edge, you can only either choose Dark, Light and system default. So I did a fresh Win10 install recently, and as most know, Microsoft is quite adamant in pushing you to try Edge, I usually would be likeĪnd move on with Chrome. The only notable difference for me is the 'New Tab' in Edge as you'll have a news feed from Bing News in which you can personalized.
